In addition to the product instructions we would like to offer additional general advice for the care of our Wooden Outdoor Furniture
- Due to high density of certain hardwoods and being a natural product fine surface cracks may occur over time, this is normal and they should not affect the performance of the furniture.
- Sometimes, a small amount of resin still remains in the wood. After being outside for some months, small dark spots may appear. You can use abrasive paper to sand off the resin spots and reapply suitable furniture oil on the furniture.
- Our products have an oiled finish in order to maintain of the appearance of the wood, a regular reapplication of furniture oil must be applied and be expected of normal maintenance. The frequency will depend on the weather conditions experienced. If the oil has not dried fully, ensure excess oil is wiped off the frame before refitting any fabric cushions; otherwise it will mark associated fabric. We do not recommend a specific product, please take advice from your local DIY store and read the labels carefully of any product for application.
- We recommended the use of furniture covers to protect your furniture when not in use.
- When not in use for long periods such as winter or severe weather conditions we would ideally recommend indoor storage or at least a cover to protect the product. During storage any fabric should be removed from the frame and stored separately and not in contact with the wood. Please make sure that the product is clean and dry before putting it into storage.
- To clean your items, please use mild detergent in warm water. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners, strong detergents, bleach, acid or solvents.
- Our items are designed for private and domestic use only e.g. around the home and garden. Our items are not designed or intended for commercial use e.g. pubs, clubs, restaurants or hotels
