What happens if i am not in at the time of delivery?
We understand that life can get busy, and sometimes you may not be at home when your delivery arrives. But don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with a simple process to ensure you receive your parcel without any hassle.
If you're not present at home when the courier comes, they will leave a convenient calling card at your doorstep. This card will contain essential details regarding your delivery, such as the location where your parcel has been taken. Often, your package may be redirected to your nearby depot or post office for safekeeping. Alternatively, this information could be sent digitally via email or text with instructions.
Additionally, many couriers, including Yodel, Hermes, DX, and Palletforce, will make an effort to re-attempt delivery. This means that if you miss the first delivery, you can expect another chance to receive your parcel soon after.
It’s important to note that delivery times can vary. For instance, Royal Mail and Yodel items can be delivered anytime between 8 AM and 6 PM, so it’s a good idea to be aware of this window. Furthermore, items delivered by Yodel and DX will require a signature upon receipt, ensuring that your package is securely handed over to you.
For larger, palletised orders, delivery will occur on a previously scheduled date that you arranged with the courier. Since these items are often of high value, the courier will also require a signature to confirm receipt.
In summary, if you’re not home during delivery, rest assured that your courier will take steps to ensure your parcel is safe and that you’ll have another opportunity to receive it. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please contact us.
